Francisco Armas Padrón
Francisco Armas Padrón (Caracas, Venezuela 1970) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of La Laguna with a specialty in Sculpture. In 1995 he worked as a collaborator in the foundry workshop of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of La Laguna. In 2016, he completed film training at the Sarobe de Urrieta School of Film and Performing Arts, participating as a scriptwriter, assistant director and in the artistic team in several short films in the Basque Country and Tenerife.
He has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Tenerife, El Hierro, Vigo, Donostia and Vlieland (Holland), highlighting his participation in the V International Art Event Creative Art Awards TEN –DIEZ, in which he won first prize. It was selected for the biannual exhibition Figurativas Paiting & Sculpture Competition 19, organized by the European Museum of Modern Art MEAM, Barcelona. In 2015 he exhibited A Year of Miracles, in the Bronzo Room in La Laguna. A series of 17 bronze pieces, the result of a period of personal search marked by his interest in some philosophical and spiritual currents. His participation in various contests and contests has been recognized with second prize in the 2018 edition of the ATRIUM18 Plastic Arts Contest of the MAPFRE Guanarteme Foundation and more recently, with second prize in the Arona Arts and Letters Contest 2020 .
