Enrique Fuentes

Enrique Fuentes (1980, Mexico City) completed his artistic studies at the National Higher School of Art of Paris-Cergy (ENSA) and the National Higher School of Fine Arts in Paris. He completed an artistic stay in Tokyo, Japan, in 2004-05, and was assistant to the painter Arnulf Rainer (1929, Baden-Vienna, Austria) from 2005 to 2011. His work has been exhibited in Germany, Austria, China, the United States, France, Hungary, and Mexico, among other countries. In 2010 he presented the retrospective exhibition entitled Retrospection / Abstraction at the San Luis Potosí Centenario Arts Center. In March 2015, he completed an artistic residency at the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Luis Potosí.

Enrique Fuentes has developed his pictorial work far from Mexico, in cities such as Paris, Tenerife, Vienna, and Berlin. However, he has always tried to make his work known in the city where he grew up, San Luis Potosí.
